Flu Shot
Monday, September 26, 2011

The seasonal flu vaccine is available to all eligible and enrolled veterans at any of the Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System facilities.

Veterans seeking a flu shot should visit one of the VAGCVHCS facilities along the Gulf Coast in Biloxi, Miss., Mobile, Ala., Pensacola, Fla., Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. and Panama City, Fla., between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, but not on federal holidays.  Veterans who receive care from the VAGCVHCS are encouraged to get their flu shot from their local VA medical facility, and any Veterans who have received their shot elsewhere should let their Patient Aligned Care Team know.

For Panama City area veterans who don’t have base access privileges (the community-based outpatient clinic sits on the U.S. Naval Support Activity-Panama City installation), please call the Panama City CBOC and schedule an appointment at 850-636-7000.

Veterans who have not yet enrolled to receive VA health care should bring their DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, or other proof of honorable military service.
