Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System
Pharmacy Residency Program
The pharmacy residency program at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health System consists of 3 pharmacy practice PGY-1 positions (1 in Biloxi and 2 in Pensacola) and 1 psychiatry focused PGY-1 position (Biloxi). All programs are accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
The Post Graduate Year One (PGY-1) pharmacy residency programs within the Gulf Coast Veterans Health System are based at the VA Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi and the Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC), a multi-specialty clinic, in Pensacola, Florida. This program provides a broad foundation including acute care and ambulatory care experiences while still allowing for tailoring of the program for the resident based on their interests. Residents will have learning experiences in both medical centers as well as other facilities throughout the Gulf Coast VHCS if desired.
