Biloxi VA Medical Center to host a job and resource fair for veterans

BILOXI, Miss. – The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System’s Recreation Hall will be the location for a job and resource fair for veterans from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 29.
The fair is sponsored by the GCVHCS’s Compensated Work Therapy program. Veterans will be able to connect with VA and its local community partners to find jobs and learn job-related skills. Interested veterans should bring appropriate identification, resumes, certifications and their Commercial Driver’s License (if applicable) with them.
Veterans will also have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews and attend free vocational workshops. Here is the workshop schedule:
•10 a.m. -- Mock Interviewing Workshop
•11 a.m. -- Port of Gulfport Job Awareness and Preparedness Workshops
•Noon -- Resume Writing Workshop
•1 p.m. -- Web-based Job Searching Workshop
The GCVHCS is located at 400 Veterans Avenue. The GCVHCS Recreation Hall is located in Building 17.
CWT is a Department of Veterans Affairs vocational rehabilitation program that endeavors to match and support work ready veterans in competitive jobs, and to consult with business and industry regarding their specific employment needs.
