On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m., the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System’s Women’s Health Program hosted a Women Veterans Open House at the new Mobile VA Clinic. Fox10 news anchor Lenise Ligon served as the Master of Ceremonies. The Theodore High School Jr. ROTC Color Guard (all women) presented the colors. The crowd was treated to Ms. Adranell Murray’s singing of the National Anthem, followed by the Invocation by Chaplain Jo Kirkendall.  Medical Center Director Bryan Matthews delivered remarks as did Dr. Royshanda Smith-Jackson, Chief of Gynecology, GCVHCS. Special guest of honor was Rebecca Byrne, President and CEO, Community Foundation of South Alabama. Following the program, guests were invited to browse the outreach tables and network with VA and community partners in attendance.
