PANAMA CITY, Fla. – The Department of Veterans Affairs Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System continues its push to inform women veterans of health care services available to them by sponsoring a Women Veterans Health Fair event on September 23, 2011.

The fair will be held at the Panama City Moose Lodge 1389 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The Moose Lodge is located at 739 East 24th Plaza, behind the Target Department Store.

At this event, various health care services and information from the Panama City Community-Based Outpatient Clinic and local community vendors will be available to women veterans.  A free basic health screening, including blood pressure checks, dietician consultation and mental health services are among the services that will be available. There will also be door prizes and refreshments.

Veterans who have not yet enrolled for VA health care should bring proper identification and their DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, or other official military service records.
